Vehicle Disposition/Transfer
The MnDOT Office of Transit retains an interest in all capital assets funded whole or in part with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) program funds (e.g. Section 5310, 5311, 5316, 5317) or the State of Minnesota transit assistance programs. All vehicle disposition requests must be directed to the MnDOT Transit Project Manager responsible for the area of the state in which the vehicle is operated. MnDOT must approve all requests in writing prior to any disposition activities occurring.

Procurement Guidance
MnDOT Office of Transit protocol to provide technical assistance to sub-recipients for FTA supported procurements including vehicles, capital facilities, ITS, transit operations, planning services, educational services, and other procurements. Procurement Method Packets are provided to assist sub-recipients in determining appropriate procurement method. All procurement methods must be directed to the MnDOT Transit Project Manager responsible for each sub-recipient.

When Appropriate: Micro-purchase procedures may be used to acquire property and services valued at $3,000 or less
Small Purchases
When Appropriate: Small purchase procedures may be used to acquire services, supplies or other property valued at more than $3,000 but less than $100,000
