Department of Health (MDH)
Function
The mission of the MDH is to protect, maintain, and improve the health of all Minnesotans. The Environmental Health Division, which is part of the Health Protection Bureau, works behind the scenes with families, neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces to create conditions that support the health of all Minnesotans. This division within the MDH strives to keep our air, water, and food clean and becomes part of the project development process when reviewing and commenting on project documents.
