Department of Administration
Function
The Minnesota Department of Administration strives to create solutions, lead innovation, and provide services for the state of Minnesota. The Commissioner of Administration oversees the managing and administrative functions of other executive branch agencies, including their purchasing and contracting, facilities management, and more. Although MnDOT has delegation of authority from this department for signing agreements and contracts that are less than $1,000,000, the Department of Administration must sign all agreements and contracts that are $1,000,000 or greater.
