Council on Environmental Quality
Function
The CEQ is within the executive office of the President and coordinates the federal government’s efforts to improve, preserve, and protect the nation’s public health and environment. The council advises the President and develops policies on climate change, environmental justice, federal sustainability, public lands, oceans, and wildlife conservation, as well as other areas.
