The goal of this unit is to advance walking and bicycling in Minnesota.

  • Engineering manuals and guidance on walking and bicycling for MnDOT roadways
  • Statewide planning documents that guide scoping/need identification, engagement, investment priority, and implementation
  • Education and encouragement events to increase participation in walking and bicycling
  • Technical assistance on projects that advance walking and bicycling

What to expect from the unit

  • Deliver trainings and other learning opportunities to deepen understanding of the needs of people walking and bicycling in Minnesota
  • Review and comment on interim deliverables, including layouts and environmental documents
