MnDOT opens public comment period on long-range transportation plans for central Minnesota
BAXTER, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation is seeking public review and comment on the long-range transportation plans for Region 5 and 7E, which are represented by the Region Five Development Commission (R5DC) and the East Central Regional Development Commission (ECRDC). The 30-day public comment period opens Tuesday, Sept. 2, and closes Thursday, Oct. 2.
The long-range transportation plans for Region 5 and 7E are available online for public viewing and comments at the Let’s Talk Transportation webpage at talk.dot.state.mn.us/central-minnesota-long-range-transportation-plans-region-5-and-7e.
If you live, work or travel in any of these counties, we want to hear from you: Cass, Crow Wing, Wadena, Todd, Morrison, Mille Lacs, Kanabec, Isanti, Chisago and Pine. This spring, MnDOT, Region 5 and 7E (see figure 1), hosted an online open house for the public to review information and provide feedback about the plans. The public feedback that was received helped create the plans.
The long-range plans establish a vision for each region along with transportation goals, objectives, strategies and actions.
MnDOT encourages participation by all as we believe everyone should have an equal opportunity to enjoy the programs, services and activities we provide. If you need an ASL, a foreign language interpreter, or other reasonable accommodation, or need documents in an alternative format (such as braille or large print), please email your request to Janet Miller at ADArequest.dot@state.mn.us or call 651-366-4720.
