All traffic impacts are tentative and weather dependent. Access to residences and businesses will remain open.


Lane closures

Thu, April 11 through Fri, April 12; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily
  • Hwy 101 is reduced to one lane with flagging in both directions at some locations between Hwy 5 and Co. Rd. 62 while crews remove trees and brush along the highway in the MnDOT right of way. Expect delays.


Information about upcoming traffic impacts will be posted as details become available. The project area will be closed to through traffic during construction. Southbound drivers will be detoured at Hwy 101 and Hwy 7 to west to Hwy 41, south to Hwy 5, and east to Hwy 101. Northbound drivers will be detoured at Hwy 101 and Hwy 5 west to Powers Blvd., north to Hwy 7, and east to Hwy 101. Local motorists can expect several weeks of single-lane traffic, with drivers taking turns at stop signs, while crews do drainage work at Purgatory Creek, between Lotus View Dr./Sandy Hook Rd. and Choctaw Circle. There will be one complete weekend road closure between Fox Hollow Dr. and Duck Lake Trail.

About this project

Crews will resurface 2 miles of road, add trail connections, reconstruct trail, improve accessibility of ramps and signals, repair shoulders, and improve drainage.
