Roadwork
Resurface 23 miles of Hwy 47 from just north of Hwy 27 in Isle to 305th Ln. north of Glen, Aitkin and Mille Lacs counties. Work is scheduled to begin in late summer 2023.
Summary of work
- Resurface the road, shoulders and turn-lanes (mill and overlay asphalt)
- Update pipes and repair ditches
- Establish gravel shoulders
- Install mumble strips and road markings
Future impacts
- Alternate one-way traffic with use of flaggers and a pilot car
- Expect to slow down, stop and wait for your turn through the work zone
- Expect reduced speeds
- Work will be done in segments and locations will move and change each day
- Work will occur on good weather days, sunrise to sunset
- All lanes will be open over Labor Day Weekend
