I-35 pedestrian bridge in Duluth reopens Oct. 31
DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be reopening the pedestrian bridge over I-35 just south of Mesaba Ave in Duluth on Oct. 31 by 5 p.m.
ork on the bridge structure is complete. Due to material delays, the metal ornamental railing, which has a wave pattern, will not be installed until spring. A temporary fence will be in place through the winter, and installation next spring will require a pedestrian detour of about a week. No additional car detours will be required.
This bridge was replaced as part of a statewide project to replace aging pedestrian bridge infrastructure.
