Highway 14 culvert replacement project completed

WILLMAR, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation announces the completion of the Highway 14 culvert replacement project west of Lake Benton. Work began on Aug. 10 and included the replacement of three box culverts located about two miles east of the Minnesota/South Dakota line.

The project improves drainage, extends the life of the roadway infrastructure, and provides a smoother, safer driving surface for motorists. The detour will be removed by the end of the day and normal traffic can resume.

Midwest Contracting was the contractor for this $2.02 million project.
