I-90 westbound lane closure begins Sept. 29 for bridge repairs southeast of Rochester
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Westbound Interstate 90 motorists will encounter a lane closure beginning Sept. 29 near Olmsted County Road 1 where Minnesota Department of Transportation bridge maintenance crews will be repairing bridge that was damaged by a crash.
The right thru lane will be limited to a 14-foot width through the work zone, which is between mile markers 216 to 214.
Crews will be doing concrete repairs on the bridge, including a new section of bridge railing. Once done, maintenance crews will be making guardrail repairs. A westbound semi tractor-trailer crashed off the bridge on Oct. 23, 2025, damaging the bridge and guardrail.
The work zone will be in place through Oct. 22.
