Highway 59 box culvert bridge replacement project north of Worthington nearly complete; detour removed Sept. 25

MANKATO, Minn. – The Highway 59 box culvert replacement project near Jack Creek, located between Fulda and Worthington, is nearly complete and the detour is expected to be removed by 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Motorists should expect shoulder and turn lane closures next week as crews wrap up work on the project.

Crews began work on Aug. 5 to replace the existing arch pipe with a box culvert bridge under Highway 59 to improve drainage and enhance safety. The project was originally planned for completion in early October but is opening ahead of schedule.

R & G Construction Co. was awarded the project with a bid of $865,548.54.
