I-90-Highway 52 ramps reopening to traffic Sept. 15 southeast of Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Motorists using Highway 52 and the ramps connected with Interstate 90 will see some traffic changes on Tuesday, Sept. 15, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

  • Northbound Highway 52 motorists will be moved back into the original newly paved northbound lanes. These lanes had been closed during the most recent state of construction.
  • Northbound Highway 52 motorists will be able to use the eastbound I-90 on-ramp.
  • Eastbound I-90 motorists will be able to exit onto the northbound Highway 52 ramp.
    • Eastbound I-90 to southbound Highway 52 remains detoured. I-90 traffic exiting eastbound must travel north to the Marion Road Exit (Exit 47), cross above the highway and then return to southbound Highway 52.

Remaining detours

  • Westbound I-90 to southbound Highway 52: Motorists should exit I-90 at the Highway 42-Olmsted County Road 7 exit at Eyota (Exit 224), turn south onto Olmsted Co Rd 7 to connect with Highway 52 north of Chatfield.
  • Southbound Highway 52 to westbound I-90: Motorists should exit Highway 52 onto southbound Highway 63 in Rochester, travel to I-90 north of Stewartville and then enter I-90.
