West Superior St under Hwy 194 Mesaba Ave closes Aug. 24
Superior Street directly underneath Mesaba Ave will close Monday, August 24 and remain closed through the end of October. Vehicle traffic will be detoured via 6th Ave W to 1st St to Mesaba Ave to Superior Street.
Westbound Highway 194 (Mesaba Ave heading up the hill) between W Superior St and W 1st St will reopen on Aug. 26. Westbound traffic on Superior St will be able to travel underneath the bridge on Aug. 24 and 25 until Mesaba Ave reopens on Aug. 26.
The onramp from Mesaba Ave to southbound I-35 will remain closed. Traffic will be detoured on Michigan St to 21st Ave W to Hwy 53 to I-35. This closure is expected to last through the end of September.
A marked pedestrian detour for pedestrian bridge reconstruction travels from Michigan Street to Mesaba Ave to 1st St to 6th Ave W.
