Expect traffic slowdowns beginning Aug. 24 on westbound 16th Street SW near Highway 52 and eastbound Highway 14 near Marion Road in Rochester for bridge repairs

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Motorists will experience traffic slowdowns in Rochester beginning Aug. 24 on westbound 16th Street SW near Highway 52 and eastbound Highway 14 near Marion Road as crews make repairs on bridges, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Motorists should seek alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion and delays. During the work, the right lane will be closed on the 16th Street bridge over South Fork Zumbro River and on the Highway 14 bridge over Bear Creek. It is anticipated that the sidewalks on both roads and the Highway 14 bike lane will remain open during the work.

Repairs are expected to be completed by noon on Aug. 27, weather permitting.
