Westbound Hwy 13 to southbound Interstate 35W ramp closure July 22 and July 23

Overnight directional closures on Interstate 35W July 29 and July 30

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Beginning at 5 a.m. through 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 22 and Thursday, July 23, crews will close the ramp from westbound Highway 13 to southbound Interstate 35W, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Motorists traveling in the area can use northbound I-35W to Black Dog Road to southbound I-35W as a detour.

During this closure, crews will work on completing improvements to the eastbound Highway 13 bridge and ramps.

At 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 29 through 5 a.m. Thursday, July 30, northbound I-35W will be closed between the Interstate 35/35E/3W split and Interstate 494. Motorists can use northbound I-35E to northbound Highway 77 to westbound I-494 to northbound I-35W as a detour.

Then at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 30 through 5 a.m. Friday, July 31, southbound I-35W will be closed between I-494 and the I-35/I-35E/I-35W split. Drivers can use eastbound I-494 to southbound Highway 77 to southbound I-35E to southbound I-35 as a detour.

Also, from 8 p.m. Thursday, July 30 through 5 a.m. Friday, July 31, northbound I-35W will be reduced to one lane between the I-35/I-35E/I-35W split and I-494.

During these closures, crews will place beams for the eastbound Highway 13 bridge.
Starting at 5 a.m. Friday, July 31, northbound I-35W will have a new lane configuration through fall. Traffic traveling through the area can use the left lane as a thru lane to bypass traffic using entrance and exit ramps in the Burnsville area. Motorists that need to enter and exit northbound I-35W can use the right lane as a chute lane to use the entrance and exit ramps in the Burnsville area.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slowdown in work zones where workers are present.
