Eastbound I-94 lane closures in Washington County Oct. 10-11
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter single-lane traffic overnight on eastbound Interstate 94 on Tuesday, October 10 as part of the I-94 Oakdale to St. Croix construction project, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Beginning at 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 10, eastbound I-94 will be reduced to a single lane between Highway 120/Century Avenue in Oakdale and Woodbury Drive/Keats Avenue N. in Woodbury until 5 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 11.
Once crews complete the traffic shift, motorists will have three lanes to use in both directions of I-94 between the I-94/I-494/I-694 interchange and Woodbury Drive/Keats Avenue N. through the winter. Construction crews will also fully reopen the merge lane between the northbound I-494 ramp to eastbound I-94 and Radio Drive.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution and slow down in work zones where workers are present.
MnDOT will be resurfacing the pavement and making other improvements to I-94 between Highway 120/Century Avenue and the St. Croix River through fall 2024. The work will improve safety, traffic flow and ride smoothness. For more information, visit the project webpage at mndot.gov/metro/projects/i94oakdale-stcroix.
