Requests to add contracts to AASHTOWare

Occasionally, contracts that are let for bid outside of MnDOT’s construction contract letting process are requested to be entered into AWP system for the contract’s administration and/or documentation purposes.  An example of this type of request is a local-let/MnDOT-administered contract. These contracts are where a local entity lets the contract for bid and then hands it off to MnDOT for the field construction inspection, contract administration and documentation.

Once a request has been reviewed and approved by the PDMS section director, you will be directed to fill out and submit the AASHTOWare Project (AWP) Contract Set-up/In-Take & Documentation Checklist Form linked below to a specified contact.

This form helps us facilitate and expedite the entry of these types of contracts into the system. We also require access to a lot of the contract’s supporting documentation and plan sets so it is set up correctly within the system. The documents needed are identified in the "documentation checklist" portion of the form.
