Transportation Information System (TIS)

The TIS is an integrated database with roadway and selected bridge, accident, traffic and pavement data. See the TIS users manual (PDF) for more information.

Data we maintain

How we're keeping data consistent

The TIS database is subject to ongoing revisions. This results in differences in the information presented on reports, over time. To allow for consistency, the reports on this web page are based on a "snapshot" of the data, which is taken during every mid-year. The data and statistics presented on TIS reports may vary from the information obtained from other sources. Some information, like Miles of Vehicle Travel (VMT), is based on a combination of historical and current data.
