Resurfacing

  • Resurfacing is complete between Battle Lake and Perham

Detour

  • The Hwy 78 detour between Battle Lake and Ottertail was lifted on Monday, Nov. 4

Work to be completed in spring 2014

  • Pouring concrete in Battle Lake amenity zones. City crews filled the voids with sand for the winter.
  • Paving the rest area parking lots and boat landing lot along Otter Tail Lake.
  • Grooving in permanent striping. Crews have installed temporary striping for the winter.
  • Boring in one culvert north of Rush Lake.

Crews will finish other minor work next year, but any traffic disruptions will be minimal.

Features included in this project

  • ADA-compliant sidewalks, crosswalks and pedestrian ramps in Battle Lake
  • Rural stretches of Hwy 78 do not require ADA modifications.
