On My Way! teaches Minnesota's K-8 students how to walk, bike and roll safely and explore their world with confidence. No matter what their neighborhood looks like, kids who interact with On My Way! will have the skills and smarts to navigate their community.
On My Way! includes ready-to-use educational materials that are fun, flexible and age-appropriate. Materials are built to fit into multiple classroom settings, including homeroom, advisory or health classes. Students in grades K-2 learn safe walking skills, and in grades 3-8 the lessons expand to include biking safety skills. Materials include prepared slide decks, videos and classroom activities.
On My Way! can help schools meet state requirements for active transportation safety education. There is also technical assistance available for educators, schools and school districts as they roll out On My Way! to students. All of these materials are complementary to the Walk! Bike! Fun! curriculum designed for hands-on practice in PE class.
