Shoulder closures, temporary parking restrictions on Hwys 59, 108 in Pelican Rapids start April 17

DETROIT LAKES, Minn.—Starting Monday, April 17, motorists will encounter shoulder closures and temporary parking restrictions along Highway 59 and Highway 108 in Pelican Rapids, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Crews will be performing soil borings in various locations along the highways in preparation for the utility replacements that will take place with the 2024 reconstruction project.

The work is expected to take approximately one week to complete.
