MnDOT construction on the Hwy 169/Co Rd 9 interchange begins Monday, April 10

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – On Monday, April 10, the Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin construction on the Hwy 169 and Co Rd 9 (Rockford Road/42nd Avenue) interchange between Plymouth and New Hope.

Beginning Monday, April 10 at 12:01 a.m., the Co Rd 9 bridge over Hwy 169 between Nathan/Lancaster Ln. and Gettysburg Ave will be closed through fall 2023. All ramps to and from Hwy 169 and Co Rd 9 will also close. These closures are needed so construction crews can begin work to replace the Co Rd 9 bridge over Hwy 169 and rebuild the interchange. Motorists will be detoured using Winnetka Avenue, Bass Lake Road and Northwest Boulevard.

Motorists can also expect a full weekend closure of Hwy 169 between I-394 and I-94/I-694 starting at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14 through 5:00 a.m. Monday, April 17. This closure is necessary so crews can take down the old bridge and begin building a new bridge. Motorists will be detoured using I-394, I-494 and I-694/I-94.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change. The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slowdown in work zones where workers are present.
