Tree clearing along Highway 23 in western Duluth starts Feb. 13
Duluth, Minn. – MnDOT contractors will be clearing trees on Highway 23 in western Duluth starting on February 13. Work will begin at US Steel Creek located near Becks Road. Motorists should expect shoulder closures. Clearing will then move to Gogebic Creek. Motorists will encounter lane closures on Highway 23 near Grand Avenue Place. The Munger Trail near Gogebic Creek will have short term closures while trees are cut adjacent to the trail. Work is expected to be complete by March 3.
This clearing is in preparation for culvert work that will occur in summer 2023.
