Highway 51/Snelling Avenue public meeting outlines planned improvements between Montreal Ave., Ford Pkwy in St. Paul
ROSEVILLE, Minn. –The Minnesota Department of Transportation is inviting the public to attend an in-person public meeting from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, to learn about upcoming improvements on Snelling Ave. between Montreal Ave. and Ford Pkwy. The meeting is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Charles M. Schulz Arena, 800 Snelling Ave. in St. Paul. The public can come and go at their convenience as there will not be a formal presentation.
Participants can learn more about the project schedule, view the roadway layout and ask questions.
This traffic safety project will construct a center median, reconstruct the traffic signal at Montreal Ave. and Snelling Ave., reduce traffic to one lane in each direction with dedicated left turns at the median breaks, remove parking along Snelling Ave., and construct a new 10 foot multi-use trail on the east side of Snelling Ave. and widen the sidewalk on the west side.
