Wadena community invited to view solution concepts and provide input Dec. 8
Highway 10 public open house
BAXTER, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) invites the community to attend a public event and view updated solution concepts for the Highway 10 project on Thursday, Dec. 8.
The open house-style event will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Maslowski Wellness & Research Center, 17 Fifth St. SW in Wadena. Guests will have the opportunity to visit with project staff, ask questions and view improvement options. Arrive any time as there will not be a formal presentation.
MnDOT and the City of Wadena have been studying options to improve Highway 10 for several years. An initial draft design was presented to the public this past summer and the community shared feedback through an online survey. The project team has refined the design, which includes proposed access points for properties and businesses along Highway 10.
Hwy 10 Wadena – Project Area
The proposed project to begin in 2025 improves six miles of Highway 10 from west of Wadena at 620th Avenue, Otter Tail County, to east of Wadena at Oink Joint Road/140th Street, Wadena County. In addition, MnDOT is advancing designs for the Highway 71 and Highway 29 improvements, also planned for 2025, and will have updated drawings available for review.
For more information, visit the project webpage at Highway 10—Wadena or contact Eric Schiller, project development manager, at eric.schiller@state.mn.us or 218-821-6552.
MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all.
