MnDOT to begin demolition on Hwy 53 bridges through Lincoln Park in Duluth
DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation is moving forward with the Hwy 53 bridges portion of the Twin Ports Interchange project. Residents and visitors in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Duluth can expect noise from demolition of Hwy 53 bridges beginning Nov. 7. Work hours for demolition are between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., but some night demolition may take place until 9 p.m. Crews will begin demolition at Superior Street and work up the hill.
Reminder: MnDOT is hosting two public update meetings today, Oct. 31. The virtual meeting is at 12:15 p.m., and the in-person meeting is at 6 p.m. in the Lincoln Park Community Center. The same information will be presented at the meetings.
