Hwy 22 Glencoe resurfacing project is complete

WILLMAR, Minn. – The Highway 22 resurfacing project in Glencoe has been completed.

The roadway was resurfaced from U.S. Highway 212 to Cedar Avenue. Existing sidewalks, driveways, and pedestrian ramps along the project area were updated to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act standards. Portions of existing curb and gutter, as well as underground storm pipe, were replaced. The curb line on the north side of 13th Street was narrowed from Hennepin Avenue to Ford Avenue, and new sidewalk was added from the gas station to Sixth Street.

Project benefits and cost
Benefits of the project include a smoother roadway, upgraded sidewalks, driveways, and pedestrian crossings to meet ADA standards.

Knife River Corporation was the contractor for the project, which cost $3.6 million.
