Northbound I-35W in Burnsville closing Sept. 30-Oct. 3

Southbound I-35W in Burnsville will close Oct. 7-10

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists traveling northbound on Interstate 35W between the I-35/35E/35W split and Highway 13 in Burnsville will encounter a weekend closure beginning Friday, September 30.

Weather permitting, northbound I-35W will be closed and detoured between the Burnsville Split and Highway 13 beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, September 30 so crews can conduct maintenance repairs on I-35W. Motorists should follow the signed detour using northbound I-35E, northbound Highway 77 and I-494, to bypass the closure

The following ramps to northbound I-35W will also be closed beginning at 9 p.m.:

County Road 42
Burnsville Parkway
Highway 13
Cliff Road

All lanes and ramps are scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, October 3.

When possible, motorists should avoid cutting through neighborhoods and help keep the community safe by using posted detour routes.
