Robert Street bridge over Union Pacific Railroad closing Aug. 1
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists traveling on Robert Street between State Street and Plato Boulevard in St. Paul will encounter an additional closure beginning 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, weather permitting.
Robert Street between East Wood Street and Plato Boulevard will close for 6-8 weeks as crews repair and resurface the Robert Street bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. Robert Street currently is closed, and will remain closed, between King Street and Cesar Chavez Street while crews repair the Robert Street viaduct and the George Street bridge.
Motorists will be detoured around the closure via State Street, Cesar Chavez Street, Highway 52 and Plato Boulevard.
The George Street bridge over Robert Street also will remain closed through late August, weather permitting.
Crews will maintain local access for residents and businesses during these closures.
