Robert Street bridge over I-94/I-35E closes for resurfacing next week
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Robert Street bridge over I-94 and I-35E in St. Paul will close by 5 a.m. Mon., April 25, for repairs and resurfacing. The bridge will remain closed until late May.
During the closure, traffic will follow a signed detour on Jackson Street, 12th Street and Cedar Street.
Please use alternate routes to avoid congestion and delays.
The construction schedule is subject to change. Updated information will be provided in email alerts and on the project website. Information about upcoming traffic impacts will be posted on the project webpage and sent out in email updates as details become available. All traffic impacts are tentative and weather dependent.
The two-year project to repair and resurface I-94 between Western Ave. and Mounds Blvd. and I-35E between I-94 and University Ave. in St. Paul began in the summer of 2021. Project work also includes resurfacing ramps and frontage roads along I-94, repairing drainage and upgrading storm sewers and bridge rehabilitation work as well as repairing sidewalks and upgrading pedestrian sidewalks and approaches to Americans with Disability Act (ADA) standards.
The project is expected to be completed in the fall 2022.
