Westbound I-94 overnight closure in St. Paul scheduled for Oct. 28
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Westbound Interstate 94 will close between Wabasha Street and Marion Street beginning at 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, weather permitting.
Motorists will be directed to follow the posted detour of I-35E, Highway 36 and Highway 280. The lanes will reopen by 5 a.m., Friday, Oct. 29. All traffic impacts are tentative and weather dependent.
This closure is part of a two-year project on I-94 and I-35E to repair and resurface the road and upgrade pedestrian/bicycle accessibility standards on I-94 between Western Avenue and Mounds Boulevard, and on I-35E between I-94 north and University Avenue in St. Paul. Once the work is complete in fall 2022, motorists will enjoy a smoother, longer-lasting road surface, improved safety and mobility along the corridor and upgraded pedestrian/bicycle accessibility.
