Provide input on the vision for Hwy 169 in Mankato and North Mankato
MANKATO, Minn. — The Mankato/North Mankato Area Planning Organization (MAPO) and Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) are seeking public input on the recommended long-term vision and implementation plan for Hwy 169 in Mankato, North Mankato, and South Bend Township. An online meeting is scheduled Thursday, October 14 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. to provide an opportunity for the public to learn about the recommended improvements to Hwy 169, ask questions, and provide comments. To register for the online meeting, visit the project website: hwy169corridorstudy.com.
Comments will be collected October 14 – October 28. Community members can review the recommended vision and implementation at any time and submit comments online: hwy169corridorstudy.com. Those without internet access can drop off written comments in the drop box outside the Intergovernmental Center or mail them to MAPO located in the same building: Intergovernmental Center, 10 Civic Center Plaza, Mankato, MN 56001.
MAPO and MnDOT are conducting a transportation study on Hwy 169 through North Mankato, Mankato, and South Bend Township. The study will analyze safety, intersections, traffic flow, pedestrian and bicyclist connections, and alternative roadway designs to develop a long-term vision for the corridor.
MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all.
