MnDOT engineer Andy Johnson promoted to assistant district engineer
DULUTH, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation has selected Andy Johnson as the District 1 assistant district engineer for program delivery. In his role, Johnson will be overseeing plan development, hydraulics, materials and soils and construction.
Johnson has a civil engineering degree from North Dakota State University and has over 20 years of engineering experience. He began his MnDOT career in 2003 and has served as a construction project engineer, Highway 53 relocation constriction manager and assistant maintenance engineer. District 1 of MnDOT covers the eight northeast counties of Minnesota.
Outside of work, Johnson enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and many different home and garage hobbies.
