Two-day closure kicks off repair/resurfacing project
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – A project to repair and resurface Highway 156/Concord Street between the Highway 52 Lafayette Freeway east of downtown St. Paul begins Monday morning, August 9.
As the project begins, Highway 156 will close between Curtice Street and Annapolis Street from 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9 until 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11. While the road is closed, construction crews will work on drainage which requires digging a trench across the highway.
During the closure, traffic will detour on the Concord Street frontage road along the southwest side of the highway.
The project also includes upgrading sidewalks to meet Americans with Disability Act (ADA) standards to improve pedestrian and bicycle mobility and replacement of the traffic signal at the ramp from northbound Highway 52 to Concord Street.
