I-35 traffic delays expected near Albert Lea for striping work starting June 2
ALBERT LEA, Minn. – Interstate 35 motorists near the Minnesota-Iowa border at Albert Lea are likely to experience traffic delays beginning June 2 when road striping work starts, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The work zone is:
- I-35 Minnesota-Iowa border to north of Interstate 90 at Albert Lea (13 miles)
- Work begins here on June 2 and is expected to take at least two weeks. The work schedule is dependent on weather
- The lane closures will occur during daytime hours
A second I-35 work zone is planned later in June in Rice County. MnDOT will announce more information closer to that planned work starting date.
Traffic delays and backups are likely during the morning and afternoon commuting time, and weekends.
