MnDOT announces construction on Hwy 1 in Thief River Falls resumes Monday, May 24
Project expected to be complete mid-June
BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will resume resurfacing Highway 1 from Thief River Falls to Goodridge beginning Monday, May 24. Crews will complete the project that began in 2020. Remaining work to be completed:
- Continuation of the final lift of bituminous pavement on the western limits of the project
- Minor grading
- Rumble strip installation
- Permanent striping
The project is expected to be completed by mid-June.
Motorists can expect lane closures, flaggers and pilot car operations. MnDOT urges motorists to use caution, pay attention and slow down in work zones.
