This May 6, thousands of students, families, community partners and elected officials will celebrate Bike to School Day, a national event that encourages bicycling (or walking) to school. Students reap the health, community and academic benefits of a little bit of exercise before school, while having fun riding bicycles with their peers.
Minnesota Safe Routes to School (MNSRTS) is supporting Bike to School Day efforts by providing event toolkits (while supplies last) to those that register their event early at www.walkbiketoschool.org.
In partnership with Quality Bicycle Products and Dero Bike Racks, MNSRTS is holding a state wide poster contest - asking students "how does it feel to ride a bicycle". Learn more about the Bike to School Day Poster Contest here.
Pedaling a bicycle can create some of childhood’s happiest moments, and we want to capture that. This year, Minnesota Safe Routes to School is sponsoring its second annual Bike to School Day Poster Contest. Hosted by the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Quality Bicycle Products and Dero, the Poster Contest asks participants to design an 8.5 x 11 poster that shows how they feel when they ride a bicycle. Age categories include K– 3rd and 4th - 8th. Poster contest winners will receive an awesome bike themed prize pack, a backpack full of Quality Bicycle Product items that you are sure to love! Download the Poster Contest Guidelines.
This Bike to School Day, we can help you pull off your event with fun marketing materials including posters, intercom announcements, press releases and more.
