I-35W Minnesota River Bridge community event set for Oct. 22
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hosting a community event for the Interstate 35W Minnesota River Bridge construction project from 5-5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22 at Minnesota Riverfront Park, 600 W. Black Dog Road in Burnsville.
The event will give the community an informal opportunity to get an up-close look at the construction project, including the new northbound I-35W bridge. MnDOT representatives, including the construction project manager, will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
Community members who are interested in attending should RSVP to Tess.Nejedlo@hdrinc.com by Monday, Oct. 21.
If the event is postponed due to inclement weather, it will be held from 5-5:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23.

This event is part of the three-year I-35W Minnesota River Bridge construction project in Bloomington and Burnsville. The work includes reconstructing the I-35W and the 106th Street bridges spanning the Minnesota River, replacing pavement from Cliff Road to 106th Street and constructing a trail between Black Dog Road and Lyndale Avenue. Work is expected to be completed in fall 2021.
