Eastbound I-94 in St. Paul closing Sept. 27-30

ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists traveling eastbound on Interstate 94 in St. Paul will encounter a closure between Highway 280 and Western Avenue beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 through 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30.

Crews will begin closing all eastbound I-94 ramps between Highway 280 and Western Avenue at 9 p.m., one hour prior to the full closure.

The detour for eastbound I-94 traffic will direct motorists north on Highway 280, east on Highway 36 and south on I-35E. Westbound I-94 will remain open.

During the closure, there will be no access to eastbound I-94 in the project area. Motorists should plan ahead and give themselves additional time to reach their destinations.

The closure is needed so crews can resurface the interstate, which will provide a smoother ride for motorists.
