I-35W northbound ramps from Cliff Road in Burnsville closing Aug. 5
Ramps will remain closed for 90 days
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists who access northbound Interstate 35W from Cliff Road in Burnsville will need to find an alternate route beginning at 12:01 a.m., Monday, Aug. 5.
Crews will close the Cliff Road ramps to northbound I-35W for approximately 90 days while they realign the ramps as part of the Minnesota River Bridge replacement project. Motorists should follow the signed detour using Nicollet Avenue and Highway 13 to bypass the ramp closure.
This ramp closure is part of a multiyear project to replace the I-35W Minnesota River Bridge between Burnsville and Bloomington. The work will include reconstructing the I-35W Bridge spanning the Minnesota River and 106th Street, replacing pavement from Cliff Road to 106th Street and constructing a trail between Black Dog Road and Lyndale Avenue.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slowdown in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
