Traffic changes and lane closures on Interstate 35 in Chisago County scheduled for Aug. 2-3
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists should expect a traffic switch, lane closures and delays in Chisago County as crews finish work on the southbound lanes and begin work on the northbound lanes of I-35 between Harris and the Pine/Chisago County line on Fri. Aug 2, weather permitting.
Beginning 7 a.m. Fri, Aug. 2, construction crews will begin shifting traffic. By Saturday evening, Aug. 3, the switch should be complete with all traffic moved into the newly reconstructed southbound lanes.
Both directions of I-35 between just north of Harris and the Pine/Chisago County line will remain reduced to a single lane. Motorists are urged to plan ahead and allow more time to reach their destination.
This work is part of the larger I-35 Harris to north of Rush City project and includes concrete pavement and ramp resurfacing designed to improve ride quality and pavement condition and enhances roadside safety. The project is expected to be complete fall 2019.
