Westbound I-94 in St. Paul: weekend closure cancelled due to rain, rescheduled
ROSEVILLE, Minn. –The Minnesota Department of Transportation has cancelled this weekend’s scheduled closure of westbound Interstate 94 in St. Paul due to the rainy weather forecast.
The closure for resurfacing has been rescheduled for two weeks from now, when the road closure will begin at 10 p.m. Friday, June 28; the ramps along the westbound interstate will close beginning an hour earlier, at 9 p.m. The road and the ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, July 1.
The road repairs on the eastbound lanes in the same area will take place on two consecutive weekends in September.
The resurfacing project will provide a smoother ride for motorists using I-94. Motorists should plan ahead and give themselves additional time to reach their destinations.
