MnDOT to start improvement project on Central Avenue bridge in Wayzata April 29
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists and pedestrians will see improvements to the Central Avenue (County Road 101) bridge over Highway 12 in Wayzata through a construction project that starts April 29.
MnDOT, in partnership with Hennepin County, will widen the bridge, install new concrete on the road, add left turn lanes, repair ramps and replace sidewalks.
The improvements will enhance safety and improve the drive for the 18,000 people who use the bridge daily.
Motorists will see work happening in the area, however, traffic impacts will be limited until late June when the bridge is closed.
Work is expected to be completed in fall 2019, weather permitting. To learn more about the Highway 12, Central Avenue bridge project, visit mndot.gov/metro/projects/hwy12andcountyroad101bridge.
