Also, beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, the left lane will be closed in both directions of Interstate 694 between 10th Street and I-94/I-494/I-694 interchange.
Near the interchange, both directions of I-494 and I-694 may be reduced to a single lane.
The median work is in preparation of the upcoming I-94/I-494/I-694 interchange and bridge reconstruction project scheduled to begin in spring 2019.
All lanes will reopen daily by 6 a.m. each morning, weather permitting. The median work is expected to be completed by Sat. Dec, 22.
The Interstate 94/I-494/I-694 interchange and bridge reconstruction project will provide a smoother, safer, long-lasting road with updated bridges and some mobility improvements. Performing periodic pavement repairs at the appropriate times can greatly increase a road’s lifespan. The project helps ensure MnDOT’s transportation system will continue to serve the state for many years. Construction is expected to be complete by fall 2020.
