I-494 in Bloomington closed this weekend between Hwy 212 and Hwy 100
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation will close part of Interstate 494 in both directions in Bloomington this weekend.
Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, July 20, westbound I-494 will close between Hwy 100 and Hwy 212. The road is scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, July 23. Motorists should follow the signed detour using northbound Hwy 100, westbound Hwy 62 and southbound Hwy 212 to I-494 to bypass the closure.
Eastbound I-494 will also close at 10 p.m. Friday, July 20 between Hwy 212 and Hwy 100 and will reopen by 5 p.m. Saturday, July 21. Motorists should follow the signed detour using northbound Hwy 212, eastbound Hwy 62, and southbound Hwy 100 to I-494 to bypass the closure.
This closure is necessary as crews install beams as part of the new entrance ramp from East Bush Lake Road to westbound I-494 in Bloomington.
Motorists should plan ahead and give themselves extra time to reach their destinations.
