Hwy 62 resurfacing project in Edina, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka starts July 9
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation will start work resurfacing and improving Hwy 62 from Tracy Avenue in Edina to Beach Rd/Clearwater Dr. in Eden Prairie and Minnetonka Monday, July 9.
Motorists should plan for congestion and traffic delays along Hwy 62 through the duration of the project. Some night and weekend work will be needed, and there could be construction noise. Some lane, shoulder, and ramp closures are expected in the following areas:
- Beach Rd. and Clearwater Dr.
- Gleason Rd. and Tracy Ave.
- Two to four directional weekend closures on Hwy 62 from Hwy 100 to I-494
- A number of ramps along Hwy 62 will need to be temporarily closed.
All businesses and residences will remain accessible throughout the project.
The work is expected to be complete by late October 2018, weather permitting.
Work on Hwy 62 consists of pavement resurfacing, drainage improvements, ramp repairs and sidewalk access improvements. It will result in smoother rides, extended pavement life and safety improvements for pedestrians, bicyclists and drivers.
