I-94 west closed at Lowry Tunnel overnight Wednesday
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The westbound Lowry Hill Tunnel on Interstate 94 in Minneapolis will close late Wednesday so crews can clean inside.
The tunnel will close from 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2 until 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 3.
Motorists can take the Hennepin/Lyndale exit as a detour.
The eastbound tunnel will remain open to two lanes of traffic, as it has been since July 24.
Four lanes of traffic is expected to be shifted into the westbound tunnel by early Friday morning.
This is part of the I-94 Minneapolis to Brooklyn Center project that started March 20.
