I-35E lane closures in the east metro scheduled May 8–13
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists will encounter lane closures on I-35E between White Bear Lake and Vadnais Heights starting on Monday, May 8 through Saturday, May 13, weather permitting.
Beginning Monday, May 8, southbound I-35E will be reduced to two lanes daily between Highway 96 and County Road E. from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Friday, May 12. In addition, beginning Monday, May 8, southbound I-35E will be reduced to a single lane between Highway 96 and County Road E. nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. as needed.
The lane closure will allow crews to work on the southbound noise wall.
All lanes are expected to re-open during the day on Saturday, May 13.
The lane closures are part of the two-year I-35E Goose Lake Road and Highway 96 road resurfacing project. In addition to resurfacing, the work includes widening the road, re-decking and widening the Highway 96 bridge, replacing the I-35E bridges over Goose Lake Road, updating drainage, repairing guardrail and constructing a trail. The work is expected to be complete by late summer 2017.
