Hwy 252 south to Interstate 94 east to close for two months Monday
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – New ramp and highway closures that start Monday are the latest stage in the Interstate 94 Minneapolis to Brooklyn Center project.
In Brooklyn Center, Highway 252 south to I-94 eastbound will close Monday, May 8 for two months while crews replace the deck on the I-94 west bridge. A bypass around the bridge will allow traffic to continue on I-94 west.
The ramp to I-694 west will also be closed. The detour for Highway 252 south is Highway 100 south to I-394 west. Highway 252 south will be a single lane I-694 to I-94 east from 8 p.m. Friday until Highway 252 closes Monday morning.
In Minneapolis, the ramp from eastbound I-94 to westbound I-394 will be closed starting Monday, May 8 until about June 24. The detour is I-35W to Highway 62 west to Highway 100 north.
Also, the I-94 west ramp to I-394 west will be reduced to a single lane. Motorists going west can use the HOV reversible lane. The reversible HOV lane will not be open for eastbound I-394 traffic. MnPass customers will not be charged.
The Lyndale Avenue ramp to westbound I-394 will be closed for about a month. The detour is Highway 55 to Highway 100 south.
